Bazı Windows uygulamalarını çalıştırmak için Wine uyumluluk katmanı içeren Türkiye kökenli Ubuntu tabanlı bir masaüstü GNU/Linux dağıtımı olan NebiOS‘un 10.3 Public Beta ya da 10.3-dev2026.08.26 sürümü duyuruldu. 14 Haziran’dan beri üzerinde çalışılan sürümün, beta versiyonunun çıkarıldığı belirtilirken, duvar kağıdı ayarlarının her ayar gibi control center’de olduğu ifade ediliyor. Launcher artık hızlı olduğu belirtiliyor, açılış, kapanış, kaydırma hepsinin belirgin şekilde daha akıcı olduğu söyleniyor. Bu arada, sistem yük altındayken bile pürüzsüz açılıp kapanıyor. Client swap’a yeni bir classic modu geldiği belirtilirken, tüm istemcilerin aynı anda yaymak yerine, aralarında teker teker kaydırdıkları söyleniyor. LibreOffice’in yeni seriden yeni sürümü 26.8.0 sürümü, The Document Foundation (TDF) tarafından 26.8.0 sürüm takvimine göre Italo Vignoli tarafından duyurularak, kullanıma sunuldu. Profesyonel tipografi, dünyanın yazı sistemlerine daha derin destek ve yapay zekâ ilerlemesiyle gelen yeni sürüm, üç alana odaklanıyor: paketin ürettiği tipografik kalite, doğru şekilde işlediği yazı sistemlerinin çeşitliliği ve belgelerin diğer ofis paketleriyle alışverişinde ne kadar doğru bir şekilde korunduğu. Bu sürümdeki en büyük çalışma, çift yönlü ve karmaşık metinleri ele alıyor. Writer artık belgeler veya düz metin açıldığında veya yapıştırıldığında paragraf yönünü otomatik olarak algılıyor. Satır kaydırma, satır sonu boşluklarını bitişik karakterlerin yönüne göre değil, paragrafın yönüne göre yerleştiriyor. Nesne yeniden boyutlandırma tutamaçları, sağdan sola ve dikey CJK belgelerinde doğru şekilde çalışıyor. Çift yönlü kontrol karakterleri artık diğer biçimlendirme işaretlerinin yanında görünüyor. Calc’te, boş bir hücreye sağdan sola metin yazmak, o hücrenin yönünü otomatik olarak ayarlıyor. Hizalama semantiği buna göre revize edilmiş: yeni belgeler varsayılan olarak sola değil, başlangıca hizalanıyor ve paragraf yönünü değiştirmek artık açıkça sola veya sağa hizalanmış paragrafları yansıtmıyor.
